Hotel Industry Booking Process Study

Recently Equator Internet Marketing has begun undertaking an online study of Hotel Booking forms. The purpose of this is to develop a booking form for Hotels that incorporates all the best elements and increases website conversion.

Why study the Hotel Industry?

Hotel accommodation is one of the most competitive online markets, with hotel bookings and reservations increasing every year, all hotel chains need to be at the forefront of developing websites that not only drive traffic but also convert into stays. The flights market has became dominated by several big players who have leveraged their way to strong natural search positions and have seen their profits grow every year. The hotel and accommodation sector would appear to be the next big vertical within the travel industry to follow this path.

How will the Hotel Study be conducted?

Equator are conducting a study of usability, eye tracking and SEO positions on each of the websites. This is to determine what parts of a website within this niche market consumer behaviour and see where this can be developed within an SEO context to improve traffic and conversion within the one process. The results will be released as a white paper later this year showing how websites within the Hotel industry could be improving their conversion, and search engine, performance in the one process.

Which Hotel websites will be examined?

Hotels being examined include De Vere Hotels, Hilton and Novotel.
